Frequently asked questions
When is the next REET?
BSER has not announced it yet. The last one, REET 2024, was held on 27 and 28 February 2025; when the next notification comes out on rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in, we will add its date here.
What is the REET exam pattern?
Each level has 150 one-mark questions in 2½ hours. Level 1 has five sections of 30: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Level 2 has Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and Language II (30 each) and either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies (60).
Is there negative marking in REET?
Not for a wrong answer. But the OMR sheet has a fifth option E for a question you leave; a question with no option marked at all loses 1/3 mark, and leaving more than 10% of the questions with no option disqualifies you.
Which languages can I choose?
Language I and Language II are chosen in the application from Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi and Gujarati, and must be different. Language I should be your medium of instruction. This page shows the Hindi and English syllabus.
Which section should a Level 2 candidate choose?
Maths and Science teachers take Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies teachers take Social Studies. Teachers of other subjects may take either of the two.
Where can I get the official syllabus?
BSER publishes it with each REET notification on rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in (REET 2024 on reet2024.co.in). This page follows the REET 2024 syllabus; always check the new one when the next REET is notified.
