REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers): common questions
Are these tests really free?
Yes, all of them, with full explanations. There is no paid plan.
Do the tests follow the exam pattern?
Yes, on the exam pattern: Level 1 150 questions in 2 hours 30 min, Level 2 150 questions in 2 hours 30 min, no negative marking, option E to leave a question and 1/3 of a question's marks cut when it is left with no option at all.
Is a REET pass enough to get a teacher's job?
No. REET is only an eligibility test: passing it lets you apply for government teacher recruitment in Rajasthan, such as the Grade III teacher exam, but gives no right to a job by itself.
Can I sit both Level 1 and Level 2?
Yes, if you have the qualifications for both. In REET 2024 the fee was ₹550 for one level and ₹750 for both, and each level was held in its own shift.
How long is a REET certificate valid?
For life. The Rajasthan government made REET certificates valid for life by its order of 16 March 2022.
