Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TopKaro (topkaro.com) offers free mock tests for Indian government job exams in Hindi and English. In this policy, “TopKaro”, “we” and “us” mean the people who run topkaro.com. You can reach us at any time at [email protected].

2. What we collect

• From Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile photo. We never receive or store your Google password, and TopKaro has no passwords of its own.
• Your test activity: the answers you choose, your scores, ranks, and when you started and submitted each attempt.
• Basic technical logs: such as IP address, browser and device type, and error records, which our servers keep for security and troubleshooting.
• Cookies: one to keep you logged in, one to remember your paper language (Hindi or English) and one to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only if you press Accept (see section 5). We do not use advertising cookies today.

3. Why we use it

• To run tests, save your progress and show your results, answers and explanations.
• To calculate ranks and show how you did compared with other test takers.
• To keep accounts secure, prevent cheating and abuse, and fix problems.
• To improve our questions and features, using overall (not individual) patterns where possible.

4. Ranks and what others can see

Your rank in a test is calculated among everyone who took that test. Where results or rank lists are shown, we may show your name and score, but we never show your email address publicly.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run TopKaro, and only as much as they need:

• Hosting and database providers that store the site and its data.
• Google, which handles sign-in.
• Analytics (only if you press Accept): Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how students use the site, for example which pages are visited and where people get stuck. They see pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and clicks/scrolls (Clarity can replay a session with text hidden; it never runs on test, result or “My tests” pages). We do not send them your name, email, answers or scores, and admin pages are never tracked. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts visits without cookies. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
• In future, we may show ads through advertising partners such as Google AdSense or AdMob. These partners may use cookies or similar technology. Before that happens we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users and service.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except anything we must keep by law. Technical logs are kept only for a limited time.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete it (and your account);
• raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Age

TopKaro is meant for users aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, please do not create an account. If we learn that we hold data about someone under 18, we will delete it.

9. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, keep login sessions in secure cookies, limit who on our side can access data, and keep regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as TopKaro grows. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for important changes, tell you on the site.
