The RPSC School Lecturer (Special Education) exam has two objective papers. Paper I is General Studies. Paper II, Subjects and Special Education, is one common paper for every candidate: Part A tests senior secondary level English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sociology and Music, and Part B tests special education. Below is the complete syllabus of both papers, topic by topic.

Paper I (General Studies): 75 questions, 150 marks, 1 hour 30 minutes. Paper II (Subjects and Special Education): 150 questions, 300 marks, 3 hours, in two parts, Part A (senior secondary subjects) and Part B (special education), each with 75 questions and 150 marks. In both papers, one third of a question's marks is deducted for every wrong answer.

Frequently asked questions

When is the RPSC School Lecturer (Special Education) exam 2026?

RPSC has scheduled it for Tuesday, 8 December 2026 (press note of 2 July 2026; it was earlier set for 6 December). Check rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in for the admit card and any later change.

What is the exam pattern?

Two objective papers. Paper I, General Studies: 75 questions, 150 marks, 1 hour 30 minutes. Paper II, Subjects and Special Education: 150 questions, 300 marks, 3 hours, split into Part A and Part B of 75 questions and 150 marks each. Together: 225 questions and 450 marks.

Is there negative marking?

Yes, in both papers. For every wrong answer, one third of the marks of that question is deducted. Every question carries 2 marks, so a wrong answer costs 2/3 of a mark.

Is Paper II different for each subject?

No. Paper II is one common paper for all candidates. Its Part A covers senior secondary level English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sociology and Music, and its Part B covers special education.

What does Part B (Special Education) cover?

Agencies, policies, acts and rules for specially abled persons and special education (RCI, NCERT, ALIMCO, NEP 2020, Samagra Shiksha, the RCI Act, the National Trust Act and the RPwD Act, 2016); pedagogy, teaching-learning materials and ICT in teaching-learning; and the education of students with different disabilities.
