The 2023 and 2024 changes
- 2023: notifications of 5 August 2023 (in force from 7 August) created 19 districts by the official list. Two of them, Jaipur and Jodhpur, already existed, so 17 districts were new. Three new divisions were made the same day: Sikar (from Jaipur and Bikaner divisions), Pali (from Jodhpur division) and Banswara (from Udaipur division).
- 28 December 2024: the state cabinet decided to cancel nine of the 17 new districts and the three new divisions. The Revenue (Group-1) Department's notifications of 29 December 2024, made under sections 15 and 16 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, put each district's sub-divisions and tehsils back into the district it came from, and each division's districts back into their old divisions.
- Kept from 2023: Balotra, Beawar, Deeg, Didwana-Kuchaman, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Phalodi and Salumbar.
