At a glance
- Arabian Sea river: CET Senior Secondary 2024 asked which river of Rajasthan drains into the Arabian Sea; the answer is the Luni (the Banas and Chambal belong to the Bay of Bengal system, the Kantli is inland).
- Rain-fed: it flows only in the rainy season, and its bed is dry for most of the year.
- Its water is sweet up to Balotra and grows more and more saline beyond it.
